The owner said an extra bed would be available, but once we’d paid, they refused to give us one. Around 12:30 a.m., the owner then suggested we take a refund and leave, even though finding another hotel that late would have been impossible. We were allowed to leave our luggage at reception after checkout, which was about the only mildly helpful thing. The room was dirty and smelled stale, with soaking wet foot mats. The bathroom taps were broken or barely working, and the toilets smelled and were in poor repair. We complained more than once, but nothing was fixed. In the cold, staff also refused our request for extra quilts. A broken, unsealed window let icy air in all night, despite our repeated requests to have it repaired or covered. I stayed here in December 2024, and it was one of my worst experiences. Between the poor hygiene, broken facilities and unhelpful service, I’d look elsewhere for a winter trip to Shimla. Avoid it.

The washrooms weren’t clean, and the blankets were dirty. Our windows were broken and left unrepaired. They didn’t hand us the room keys at first, though they had a sign listing a fee for lost keys. When we asked for the keys, they gave them to us. They’d promised cab service, but later said the driver had disappeared. Because of this careless handling, we missed our flight. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

At around 00:30, he told us to take our money back and leave, saying we wouldn’t find anywhere else to stay either. The window was broken and left open to the cold gusts, and no extra quilt was provided. Our room smelled and was dirty, with wet foot mats making it worse. They did let us leave our bags at reception after checkout, but that was a small thing. This was a terrible stop on our Delhi to Kaza trip in December 2024. Avoid this hotel.

The balcony has a great view, and the food was good too.
