A terrible experience. We booked for a weekend, but at check-in the receptionist asked for our number and said he’d call when the rooms were cleaned. We were delayed by heavy weekend traffic in Manali while returning from a nearby place where we’d gone to eat. When we got back, we found our rooms had been given to someone else. After an argument, they offered two different rooms for twice the price. The owner refused to honor what had first been agreed, saying the rooms had been sold at a higher rate. He told us to pay the new price or find somewhere else. Exhausted and with no real choice, we accepted. The rooms were awful. One smelled so bad we couldn’t stay in it, so we spent most of our time in the other. The balcony room was filthy, with monkey droppings everywhere, and neither room seemed to have been cleaned before we received it. The owner was extremely rude and unprofessional, and the service was horrible. It seemed cleanliness and the guest experience didn’t matter to them, perhaps because they count on the peak-season rush. The Google photos are misleading, the property looks nothing like them. Don’t waste your money here.
