I spent five nights in Shimla at Hotel Home Inn, and it was a very pleasant stay. Mr. Nitin is a true gentleman, and the staff, especially Akshay and Shyam, treated me well the whole time. As I was travelling alone, a few food items seemed a little expensive since there weren’t portion sizes I could share the way families or groups might. I’d suggest Nitin Ji add half-plate and full-plate options for some dishes. That would be convenient for all travelers.

The views were one of the best parts of our stay, with clear sunsets and sunrises and a magical looking night sky. The staff, location, and hospitality were all top-notch, easily 10/10. Nitin and Nakul, the managers and owners, were especially kind and supportive. They helped us in every way they could and made sure we were comfortable throughout. The whole experience felt perfect.

There’s a steep climb to the accommodation, at least seven floors, and no proper lift support. This isn’t suitable for elderly guests, families, or anyone with health issues. I stayed one night after booking through MakeMyTrip, and found the hotel charged extra for amenities that the MakeMyTrip listing clearly said were included. That felt misleading and unprofessional. When I asked about the charges, staff offered little transparency or cooperation. Customer service was poor and unhelpful. The hotel doesn’t honor its commitments or offer value for money, so I’d strongly advise others to avoid it.

A lovely, budget-friendly property. We stayed with family, and the food was simple, just like home. It’s a 10-12 minute drive to Auckland tunnel. A good pick if you want a peaceful stay.
