We had a good stay in clean, spotless rooms, and the staff were friendly. Mr. Sumit Rana was especially supportive. The food tasted good, though the breakfast buffet had very few options. Mall Road is very close, about a 300m uphill walk, which might be hard for elderly guests. The car approach road is extremely narrow and takes highly skilled driving. I'd give the hotel a 4+ for its facilities, comfortable rooms, and good-tasting food.

Le Royale is close to the famous Ridge and Mall Road, and its cozy rooms and location make it one of Shimla's most popular hotels. It sits among the snow-tipped mountains in a rustic property with magnificent architecture and outdoor seating. The multi-cuisine restaurant, The Leaf, serves a delicious range of food. For unwinding, the Metta Spa offers popular massages and therapies to help de-stress body and mind.

The mountain-view room showed all of Shimla, with a 180° view of the city and Shimla Ridge, plus a clear view of Shimla church. We could sit inside and watch an amazing sunset over the mountain range. It was undoubtedly one of the best stays on my Himachal Trip. Mall Road and Shimla Ridge are only a 10-minute walk away. The drive up is narrow and hectic, but once you arrive and see the rooms and view, it's hard to complain. This is a well maintained heritage property with very good service. Thank you Tripli Le Royals for making amour stay in Shimla so memorable.

Aarti from " Future Choice Hospitality " arranged our stay, and we had a fantastic experience. My husband, daughter, and I found the room spacious and clean, with all the amenities. Mr. Vinod and Mr. Sumit Rana were great hosts, and the staff were humble and friendly. The food was yummy too. The easy walking distance to Mall Road was a big plus. The two best things here are " khaana and Hospitality of Sumit Rana". Big thanks to Aarti for arranging such a lovely stay for us.

The setting is quiet and away from the immediate Mall noise, and the views may be good depending on the floor. But getting to and from Mall Road means a very steep walk, which can be tiring after sightseeing. The hotel sits above The Ridge, and that steep climb makes it a poor fit for older people, anyone with mobility issues, families with small children, or seniors. There's no lift in this multi-story hillside building. Carrying luggage up several flights is difficult, and a room on a higher floor means climbing stairs every time you return. With both the exterior incline and stairs inside, access can be dangerous for people who struggle with either.
