Mattuga Resort made us feel at home, with courteous staff who were supportive and ready to help throughout. The arrangements were excellent, and the rooms were clean, comfortable, and well maintained. Food was a highlight: simple, homely, delicious, and prepared with care. It’s a peaceful place in the greenery of Sagara Taluk, Shimoga district, away from city life. A nice spot to relax and reconnect with nature, and well suited to families, group stays, or training programs. Highly recommended for a quiet getaway in the Malnad region. 🌿✨

We went hoping to relax and have fun, but left frustrated. There are no amenities besides one swimming pool, and it isn’t for kids. Breakfast isn’t complimentary, and we were overcharged for just two items. They serve only vegetarian food, and it was bad. The manager has a lot of attitude and wasn’t friendly. They overcharge for everything, and there are no play items or activities for children. Our room had too many insects and mosquitoes, and maintenance was poor, so it didn’t feel safe for kids. There were also many large lizards in the kitchen and dining hall. They even charge 500 for a fire camp, something I haven’t seen at other resorts. One of our worst experiences.

The authentic Malnad-style food was delicious, and the staff were polite and supportive. Rooms were clean and well maintained. A beautiful place to stay, recharge, and refresh, and worth every penny. Highly recommended, I’d give it 10/10 😋🥰

Just got back from an epic vacation! The beach was pristine and the infinity pool was amazing. The food was delicious, and the staff went all out to make our stay great. A really chilled-out getaway 😍

The plantation setting is peaceful and beautiful, a lovely escape from the city. We had an amazing stay with friends. Staff were attentive and made sure we had what we needed. Highly recommend it for a quiet nature retreat.
