The room was okay for the price, but the WiFi was very poor and there were lots of mosquitoes. Between 4 and 7 a.m., the electricity went off only in my room. When I found the night manager, he flipped a hallway switch and restored it, which made me think he had turned it off while I was sleeping. Earlier, I’d called for directions and was told they’d be sent, but after waiting and calling twice more, I got no answer and nothing was sent. I eventually found the place. When I saw the manager, he was sitting there clipping his toenails with his phone beside him. I felt lied to. Horrible man. Don’t trust this place. Fire him right away.

At 3 a.m., even though our Booking reservation was confirmed, the manager and owner turned us away, saying they allegedly only allowed married couples. They wouldn’t even look at our marriage certificate. Since I’m a foreigner, the whole thing felt strongly racially motivated. The following day they also refused to cooperate with cancellation after denying us a room. This was absolutely not customer oriented. As a foreigner, I’d avoid this hotel. 🤮

The lodge is close enough to popular NJP(New Jalpaiguri) Railway Station to reach on foot, yet it sits somewhat away from the main road noise, which made the stay comfortable and convenient. There are different room types to suit different guests, and service is available 24x7, with a head staff member always staying at the hotel.

I booked the entire bhawan for my reception recently, and it turned into my worst experience. The owner was very rude and charged extra for everything. Their wedding and reception scheme requires you to use their decorator, and the amount they charged was extremely high and meaningless to me. Please don’t hold any kind of function in this bhawan. 👎🏽

A really nice stay for a family. The owner is a very good person, and you can trust them 👍
