OYO 19314 Gupta's Hotel

We keep coming back because the serving staff always win our hearts, and the food and drinks are enjoyable if you don't mind the decor. Service is top notch. The hotel seems to be under renovation all the time, and the new interior decorator must have been high on pot to design a place that looks like complete trash compared to before.

The restaurant is top notch, though a bit expensive, so this works better as a restaurant than somewhere to stay. The room itself is comfortable, with good ambience, optimal air-conditioning, a clean washroom and good quality upholstery. But space is tight: the rooms are very small, and there's only one chair and a tiny table, which makes eating in the room inconvenient. The staff are cordial and pleasant, but there aren't enough of them and they're not as well trained or professional as you'd expect in a hotel. There's no lift either, so the stairs to the third floor are exhausting.

The food is excellent, and the staff were very welcoming. Housekeeping was done without any fuss. The infrastructure isn't huge, but they've made commendable use of the spaces they have. The rooms have a cosy theme that makes you feel at home, and the facilities they provide in a place like Siliguri are really cool.

The restaurant food was nice and service was good, and the location made it easy to get a taxi before my flight. The room and bathroom were a bit small, though. Since it’s on a main road, there was noise, with extra noise from the temple across the street. The drain out front was full of garbage.
