Treebo Trend Vila De Goa

We arrived an hour early after asking about early check-in, and agreed to wait on the premises until our room was ready. There was no network in the area, so we asked the host for the Wi-Fi password, but she refused to share it until we had the room. Even after we got it, the connection was so weak it was almost useless. She also kept telling us to shut the balcony door and turn off the AC, intruding on our personal space. The host was rude and impolite, and would argue for no reason. That's not hospitality.

I’ve stayed regularly at Vila de goa, vaddy, but this visit was one of the worst. Ms.Perpetual, the Lady Manager, wasn't the problem. Cleanliness was: the upper room and balcony were dirty, including the floor and railing, and the balcony curtain was really dusty. I got itchy because there were insects under the mattress. The bathroom tiles looked as though they hadn't been cleaned in months. The previous cleaning lady had been so good and kept things neat. Breakfast was good, though pretty standard.

The rooms were clean, and the staff were friendly and very helpful. They sprayed our bags and sanitised our hands when we arrived. I only stayed one night, so the experience was decent. The local breakfast choices weren't included, though there's a cafe just outside to the left with a great breakfast. Phone reception is a problem in Siolim and much of Goa, and the Wi-Fi wasn't fast either. Still, it was a nice stay.

We came as a group of 11 and booked six of the hotel's 10 rooms during the pre-Christmas week in December, in the Covid period. There was no Wi-Fi in the rooms and no mobile network anywhere in the hotel. Wi-Fi only worked at reception. The staff said at least half the lights worked and asked, “Aapka kaam toh ho raha hai na.” In practice, the room and bathroom lighting was poor, and only some lights worked. A few rooms had broken cable TV, and the bedside charging sockets didn't work. They didn't change towels or sheets each day, just refitted the same sheets. The shower gel, which they expected us to use for hair and body, smelled bad, so bring your own toiletries. There were only one or two staff, who had excuses when we asked about cleaning and other services. While cleaning the kettle, we accidentally made a small hole in the washbasin. They initially demanded 10,000 rupees, although the same item was listed for 5,000 on Jaguar's company website, and we were willing to pay that amount because it was our mistake. Staff wouldn't give us the owner's number. After a heated argument, they said they'd keep us from leaving and hold our bags. We finally spoke to the owner and agreed on a 5,000 charge. Service was very poor and didn't meet Treebo standards, even though Treebo usually offers good hospitality. I'd suggest finding another Treebo hotel.
