OYO 24828 Hotel Akshay

The room was spacious, the bathroom was good, and the ambience was pleasant. The hotel itself is good, though it’s a bit overpriced and there’s no view. Staff could be more professional. I had a few minor issues that were easily resolved, but not by the first person I spoke to. It’s about 1 km from Mall Road, and there’s a shortcut through Chowk Bazar, though it’s a very steep climb. Overall, good for a short stay.

The rooms and furniture are nice, and the hotel is spacious and right on the road. Solan’s weather adds to the appeal of staying here. Things were mostly perfect, but the food could be a bit better. It would also be nice if they had their own mess instead of ordering food from other restaurants.

The hotel itself is okay, but there’s a large gutter right beside it. The rooms might be dirty since cleaning happens sometime between 12 and 2 pm. The staff are good in the morning and evening. At night, though, they drink and watch dirty videos. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

The staff were really friendly, but the owner’s behavior was childish and disappointing. I only asked for a two-hour stay as a regular visitor while travelling from Mumbai to Shimla, and I was turned down. It wasn’t about the money. Mr akshay, if you take money from guests, at least provide a simple towel and soap in the room. You need to learn how to speak to guests and understand hotel management. The hotel only has occupancy because of the staff.
