Godavari Lodge

Godavari is only 5 mins from Solapur station, so getting around was convenient. The owner and caretakers were sweet and welcoming. We had an amazing stay, and I’d recommend this place to everyone.

Never recommending this hotel to anyone. While booking, Owner Amar sent pictures of some good rooms and asked for an advance, but when we arrived we were shown unhygienic rooms with a broken Aldrop on the door lock. When we raised it in the early hours, he spoke very rudely and said we could find another hotel if we wanted, but the amount wouldn’t be refunded. The owner gave us double standard talks. Worst hotel I’ve seen in my life. Rating: (-1 star)

The room was a decent size, but the place was so unhygienic I’d never recommend it to anyone, not even a pet. There was a musty smell throughout, stains and spills on the walls and table, and no basic cleanliness. The bathroom smelled strongly of urine, and the bucket, taps, and toilet were filthy. I had to pour half a bottle of Dettol just to use it. The room was noisy too, and the fan made a loud, irritating sound.

One light wouldn’t turn off, so I had to sleep with it on for both nights, which was really uncomfortable. The room itself was nice, but the bed was a little dirty. I also don’t get why they use an ASM hospital bedsheet in a hotel. Was it a used patient bedsheet we were meant to sleep on?
