Agonda Paradise

The people here are so friendly and thoughtful. I got an unexpected work call and needed somewhere to sit, so I went to the restaurant near reception and ordered a drink and takeaway while I talked. They gave me wifi and a stand for my phone. When I was busy speaking and my tea went cold, they offered to heat it again. Even after I got home with the takeaway more than an hour later, the food was still hot. Thank you all!

Agonda Paradise is in a great spot near the calm, beautiful Agonda Beach. The room was okay, and I stayed three days. My main issue was the food rule: since South Indian options in Agonda are limited, we ordered through Swiggy and Zomato, but staff said outside food couldn't be taken into the room. We could only eat it in their restaurant, and food from elsewhere wasn't allowed in the room at all. That was inconvenient when guests have particular food preferences and few nearby choices. They should explain the rule clearly when people book and be more flexible. The stay was decent mostly because of the location, but this policy needs work.

This was a very bad experience. We found small bits of glass in the room more than once, and I got cut twice. We couldn't enjoy the beach, and it felt completely unsafe for kids and families. The manager was rude, the staff weren't helpful, and nobody even apologized. They refused to give us bandages, so I had to find some myself while limping. Disgusting. The prices are high and don't make sense when there are much better places nearby. Don't book here. It was a real letdown, and this is why Goa has become dead.

We paid 5k a night for a ground floor beach facing room, and I regretted it. At 2.5k a night, maybe it would be acceptable, but not a penny more. The room had no toiletries or tea and coffee, just two small bottles of hot water. We had to ask for glasses, and even after several reminders they took 30 minutes to arrive. There was no morning sun on the balcony, so we left our wet clothes on a chair just outside it without bothering anyone, as people commonly do at the beach. While we were at breakfast, they called me to tell me to remove them. A service boy then said it was okay to leave them, but when we returned, the clothes had been taken away because they said they spoiled the garden's look, despite the premium we paid. Management behaved poorly, and I wouldn't stay here again. Your experience could go bad too.
