Azaya Pool Suites

The beach location is peaceful and excellent, with no rush there. The suite itself was nicely designed, and the staff were welcoming, but the upkeep and service fell short. My private pool had broken floor tiles that could hurt someone, and the water was stale, with dried leaves and petals in it. It wasn't cleaned once during my three days in February. If the resort offers these amenities, they need to maintain them. Room service, pool service, and bar service were all very slow. Calling it a relaxed Goan pace doesn't change that a resort needs to meet hospitality standards. Breakfast was complimentary but basic, and staff were too few to clear tables or even put up the order.

We came for a short trip and found the resort comfortable and well maintained, with the beach right there. We had seen several negative reviews beforehand, but our stay didn't match the problems they described. For a property presented as 5-star, though, breakfast could offer more choice. Couple spa services and late-night food and drinks would also be good additions. Aside from those gaps, we had a satisfactory stay.

The food was okay, with no major complaints, but the experience elsewhere was awful. The resort felt empty and neglected, the pool was dirty, maintenance was poor, and the bars were rarely staffed. There were no events, and staff didn't interact with guests. The spa had no ambiance, music, or scent. Our room seemed acceptable at first, but there was mold and bugs throughout, along with bad odors. Water from the shower and sink often ran brown, which was very concerning. The outlets and AC worked only intermittently, and getting help felt like pulling teeth. The 5-star reviews are misleading. Taj right Nextdoor was beautiful, clean, and mesmerizing. For this price and experience, spend your money elsewhere. DO NOT STAY HERE.

We paid ₹70,000 for just two nights, and the state of the property and service absolutely didn't justify that price. I plan to complain to the tourism authorities, and I strongly recommend against staying here. The room smelled terrible, the walls were dirty, and the carpet was foul-smelling and felt filthy. Shower water came out yellow and clearly wasn't clean, which was shocking for a resort that claims to be luxury. The swimming pool was also poorly kept, with several broken tiles, and didn't look clean or properly maintained. Azaya Goa was one of the worst hotel stays we've had.
