Club Mahindra Acacia Palms

The only real downside was the lack of parking at Club Mahindra Acacia Palms, Goa, so we had to leave the car outside. The resort is just a short walk from Colva Beach, and it’s a smaller, cozy place with a warm, homely feel. Rooms were spotless and well maintained, and the pool area was clean. The all-women team manages the property, and their hospitality gave the stay a special, refreshing touch. We also enjoyed the evening fun games. Overall, it was a delightful, memorable stay, and I’d recommend it for a peaceful time in Goa.

The resort has a vibrant, welcoming atmosphere, and the theme dinner was especially fun with games and entertainment. The live counter chef prepared fresh dishes, and both breakfast and dinner had a wide range of delicious food, beautifully presented and freshly made. The chefs’ care and skill really came through. Service was outstanding, with warm, attentive professionalism from 1Raksha, Swati, Ayesha, Sujana, chef Ankitha, 2Raksh, and the house keeping leady Barnali. Seeing the resort run successfully by an all-women team made the experience even more special. It was a wonderful, memorable stay.

The room layout is worth knowing about if you stay here. The resort has only Hotel Unit (HU) rooms across six buildings. Eighteen rooms face the sea on the ground or upper floor, and another 18 also face the sea, with other rooms more than 30 feet in front of them. Sixteen rooms, eight on each of the ground and first floors, have balconies facing another building across just 10 to 12 feet. I was in one of those inner-facing rooms, and keeping the curtains shut was probably necessary for privacy. There’s a recurring issue at Club Mahindra resorts with the liquid soap dispensers being mounted high in the shower. They’re fine if you’re standing, but out of reach for senior citizens who need to bathe sitting on a stool. I’ve raised this in past reviews of Sherwood (Mahabaleshwar) and Pavagadh. I’ve also previously suggested bathroom safety railings or grab bars to help prevent accidents for older guests, and hope management will consider adding them across properties. Here, when we mentioned the dispenser problem, Ms. Lourdes and Ms. Santi immediately brought us a taller stool and a bar of soap. Their thoughtful response made this stay special. Colva beach is only a two-to-three-minute walk from the property. The pool is well maintained, the children’s play areas are great, and housekeeping and general arrangements were seamless. We had no major problems. Check-in and checkout were quick and hassle-free with Ms. Lourdes. We ate at Ripples, where the food was quite good and the restaurant staff were responsive and courteous. There are also plenty of other hotels and restaurants a few minutes’ walk away. Electric car charging is available on-site, though parking is just outside the resort gate. Drivers don’t have bathing or toilet facilities available to them. There’s nothing major to complain about. It’s a beautiful property with staff who care about guest comfort, and we had a very relaxing stay. The amenities are excellent and I’d warmly recommend it.

Vaishnavi deserves a special mention for excellent service. She helped us a lot and made our stay more comfortable. The whole staff at Club Mahindra Acacia, Colva were courteous, helpful, and very good. The property is beautiful and well maintained, a lovely place for a relaxing getaway. We had a very pleasant stay.
