Divine Beach Resort

Agonda beach is only a few steps away, and some effort goes into keeping the grounds clean and presentable. But my main issue is with the duty manager at Divine, Raul, who didn’t honor our agreed price and formal booking arrangement. I booked two units, with the understanding that one would be for two nights and the other for at least five. We agreed on a price based on the units and length of stay, with my companion present. On the third day, Raul came by and said the room I was using for the five-night minimum was no longer available. We had settled the agreement only days earlier. He didn’t apologize or show remorse. I could have stayed and asked him to move the incoming guests, but I preferred to leave rather than deal with someone I felt had cheated me. It’s a lovely location, but be careful about promises being changed. Also check the fans for clanking noises, and make sure the toilet seat is intact. Ours was broken and had been poorly patched in a lazy repair attempt. Check that the water works and the shower pressure is enough for a proper stream.

My first stay there, and it was great value for money.
