Ginger Goa Madgaon

I stayed two nights in room number 401, and overall it was a good experience. The room had a pleasant feel and was nicely arranged, with a comfortable queen bed, two sofas, luggage table, and a large bedside desk that could double as a writing table. Lighting was adequate, there were plenty of charging points and bedside controls, and the TV, AC, and strong WiFi all worked well. The bed was comfortable, though the pillows were old and falling apart. There were no slippers, and they hadn’t left paper napkins with the electric kettle supplies. The bathroom’s trapezoid shape made it awkward, with one side barely two feet wide and the other five. It had all the essentials, and the shower pressure was very good, but the hot and cold water didn’t mix properly, sometimes switching between cold and very hot. A shower curtain would help. Being right opposite the railway station meant the trains were noisy. At night, the stray dogs howling were even more irritating. It’s Ginger Hotel, Madgaon, Goa. Recommended.

We were traveling around Madgaon with our toddler and extended family, so the convenient location near the station worked well for us. It’s a good budget choice for a few nights, family friendly, and the rooms were good. Service was prompt and the restaurant was good too. Pritesh was welcoming and accommodating when helping with what we needed for our stay. I’d recommend it for anyone looking for something along those lines.

The breakfast buffet was average, and while maintenance is good, the rooms feel very cramped for a family. The double bed seems like one in name only. If you want an undisturbed night’s sleep, don’t book here. The location feels like sleeping in a railway station, only with a roof and AC.

The main drawback is how close the hotel is to Madgaon railway junction. Trains honk frequently, even late at night, so this seems much better for a short stop between journeys than for a longer holiday. On the plus side, the rooms fit three people comfortably, and both they and the shared areas were clean and well kept. Staff were courteous whenever we needed help. There’s a small gym with basic equipment, enough for a quick workout. My stay at Ginger in Madgaon was comfortable overall.
