Elegant Shades

Sernabatim beach is close enough to walk to, or you can go by bike or scooter. Colva and Benaulim Beach are nearby too, with more restaurants and things to do, and you can walk there along the beach. Elegant Shades is a calm little oasis, with green grounds, a peaceful atmosphere, and a pool that's lovely after a day at the beach. We found the rooms spacious and clean, with a small kitchen and fridge. Breakfast was great, and you can arrange other meals by giving them a little notice. Marina and Caitano were friendly, professional hosts who helped us figure out where to go and what to see. The hospitality was amazing. We'd definitely come back. I stayed here for three months during the pandemic, and Marina and family looked after me so well that it felt like a home away from home. The care, service, food, hygiene, security, and safety all scored a 10 out of 10 for me, as did the elegance and peaceful setting. The beach is just one km away, and the main market is about half a kilometer away. Of all the service apartments I've stayed in Goa, this is by far one of the best. If you're traveling to South Goa, you must stay at Elegant Shades and experience it for yourself.

You can walk to the beach in about 10 minutes, and the town takes around the same. The hosts can arrange a bicycle or motorbike rental. There's also free laundry, though you'll need to bring or buy your own detergent. My husband and I have been traveling for 6months and stayed in many types of accommodation, including some 5 star hotels. Elegant shades was one of a kind and exceeded our expectations. Marina and Caitano were wonderful hosts and cooks. The palm trees, quiet surroundings, and well-kept grounds made the place feel peaceful. Our room was clean and spacious, with high ceilings and a huge kitchen and fridge. I could easily imagine staying more than a few weeks, and would definitely return when visiting goa. One small drawback was the spotty wifi. We needed to research our trip and book flights, and that was a bit difficult.
