Fairfield by Marriott Goa Benaulim

Beach access was the biggest plus for us. Fairfield by Marriott in Benaulim is very conveniently located, and reaching Benaulim Beach was easy, so our beach days took no effort. The modern amenities were well maintained, and the buffet breakfast was fresh, well put together, and met our expectations. The spa was the one letdown. Its price was in line with a premium massage or luxury wellness center, but the atmosphere and experience didn't measure up. That part needs improvement, and the quality didn't justify the price. Apart from the spa, the hotel was excellent for its convenience, food, and beach proximity.

The staff were patient and friendly with every request, and the picnic basket was put together neatly. We liked the pool and pool bar, and the beach was an easy walk away. Breakfast had lots of good options, and the kids were well catered for. I wasn't convinced that every room type only has queen beds, though roll-away beds are available. Room service was slow, and Kava was decent. As vegetarians, we were content with what was offered. GOI Airport transport is available.

The room took nearly 2-3 hours to be ready, which was exhausting after traveling with family. Communication from the team was unclear from the start, and the service and staff coordination were poor. The voucher rules were also never clearly explained during booking or membership. We weren't told that every redemption required a login and approval, and each time we tried, it led to arguments or more follow-up. The sales team wasn't transparent about how the membership worked or what the process involved. For a family of three, especially with kids, I wouldn't recommend this place. Rooms only have queen-size beds, which are too small for a family, and the washroom is cramped to use with children. The whole stay was a hassle rather than a chance to relax, and wasn't worth the stress.

The breakfast had a huge range of options, and we could also book the dinner buffet at a special discount. The amenities were in good condition, and the short walk to the beach suited our trip perfectly. Our rooms were spotless and well cared for. Housekeeping left small handwritten notes asking if we needed anything, a thoughtful touch. We were welcomed with refreshing drinks, and pastries waiting in the room made us feel personally looked after. The Front Office team was professional and carefully explained breakfast and restaurant timings, amenities, and available discounts. After our first visit to Goa, we're so glad we chose Fairfield by Marriott Benaulim for three nights. We'll definitely return. Highly recommended for Benaulim.
