The guide explained the importance of each room, object, and part of the architecture, and the day tour takes about an hour. It costs 350 rs, which is nominal. I first visited after all these years of being in Goa, and the house is a beautiful classic, well maintained building from the time Goa was a Portuguese colony. It must be more than 500 years old, and its engineering is exceptional. The collection includes unique artefacts, paintings more than 100 to 200 years old, silver vessels, and wooden furniture still intact after 200 to 300 years. You can also stay in rooms there, all air conditioned, with clean washrooms and lovely antique decor and wooden beds. A great experience.
