I keep coming back to Soulmate, and it feels like coming home. The staff are welcoming and helpful, and the place is very clean and comfortable. It's right in the centre of Palolem, close to the restaurants, but set far enough back from the main street to stay quiet. There are room options that work for a night or two, or even three weeks or a month, as in my case. Highly recommended.

The location gives the property potential, but the room design and bathroom condition really affected my stay at Hotel My Soulmate in Palolem. Our bathroom was basically a makeshift space made with plywood partitions. The divider between rooms was so thin we could clearly hear conversations and water running in the neighboring bathroom, which cut into privacy and comfort. The fittings were basic, and visible damp patches, uneven sealing, and temporary plumbing made the washroom feel poorly maintained and improvised for a hotel near a prime beach. The advertised “romantic circular room” also wasn't practical. The circular bed looks appealing in photos, but its mattress wasn't supportive and the shape limited sleeping space. It felt more like a gimmick than a premium option. The price may seem attractive, but with the comfort tradeoffs and jugad-style bathroom, I'd choose a standard room with a regular bed instead. The design and bathroom quality made the experience disappointing.

Hotel My Soulmate, Palolem made for a peaceful and memorable stay, and we felt comfortable from the moment we arrived. It's a short walk to Palolem Beach, restaurants, cafés, and local shops, while being tucked away from the noise and crowds. The rooms were spacious, clean, and well kept. Our bed was comfortable, the air conditioning worked perfectly, and the basic amenities were there. Housekeeping was regular and thorough. The staff were warm, polite, and helpful, whether we needed local travel guidance, food recommendations, or something for the room. The food was tasty and hygienic, and the calm atmosphere works well for couples, families, or solo travelers. For the location, comfort, and service, it offered excellent value. I'd recommend Hotel My Soulmate, Palolem to anyone visiting South Goa, and would stay again on my next Goa trip.

The car was the last straw: after birds covered it with droppings overnight in the parking area, management offered no help. We had to ask repeatedly for a bucket and clean it ourselves, then take it to a service station for a pressure wash. The room was uncomfortable for four because the air conditioning only reached one side, with a thin wooden partition blocking the other. Staff were slow to respond to even small requests. The bathroom smelled, the floor mat was dirty, and there was no television. We stayed one night and came away very disappointed. I'd give it 1.5/5. Avoid it.

The Indian breakfast was the best of the four choices, with aloo parathas, an omelette and juice, tea or coffee. The English breakfast wasn't very good. Breakfast comes through a nearby restaurant, since the hotel doesn't serve it itself. We had a premium room for three nights; it was clean, and complimentary drinks were in the minibar. Staff were friendly and helpful. The map location is off, but the owner can guide you if you call. Palolem Beach is about a 3-5 minute walk away. We had a great stay.
