A really serene spot right by the beach. The rooms and bathrooms are clean, and there are food options within walking distance.

It’s a simple, tidy, no-frills place at a reasonable price, good for a budget holiday. The rooms are very basic, but you’ll mostly be in there to bathe and sleep. The sheets are clean, and they provide a towel, soap, and a sheet to cover yourself. Nights get cold, so bring an extra cover. The toilets are a bit run down and could be better, but the staff are sweet, friendly, and accommodating. Four stars only because of the toilets and the lack of warmer bedding.

The sea views are limited, only 3 of the 6 rooms have them, and the building is crammed, made of gypsum boards with a tin-sheet roof. On 26th Jan, our AC started smelling like sewage after an hour, and the bad smell filled the room. There was nowhere on the property to sit and enjoy our own food or drink while looking at the beach, apart from the neighborhood shacks. The sea-facing rooms were occupied by rich foreigners staying longer, and we felt Indian tourists were treated like second-rate guests. There was a huge list of things you couldn’t do. The old foreign lady was rude and treated us and two other families badly. The caretaker and owner sided with her. We checked out in disgust the next day, as did the other families. We moved to another beach in patnem, where several foreigners staying long term also spoke of this place’s bad reputation. It was a terrible stay. It seems people who can’t find accommodation at the last minute end up here and have a bad experience. I don’t know who gave it the highest ratings. Please don’t book and lose your money and peace of mind.

We only stayed one night, but it was pleasant, with the cottage as close to the beach as you could get. The beach was super serene. It’s not a luxury resort, but it’s good value for money. There’s no restaurant on the property, though you can get drinks and snacks at the nearby shack.

The beach view and the location are the best part. We stayed in a basic, budget-friendly AC room, small but clean, with beds, a table, and AC. We could hear the waves all day, and there was very little crowd. Ajith was very helpful. The view is beautiful, though the rooms aren’t luxurious. There were lots of dogs around, all friendly and harmless. Palolem and agonda beaches are close to talpona, but too far to walk. There’s no in-house restaurant, but two restaurants are next to the stay. Their service was extremely slow: we waited 2.5hrs after ordering, and the food was below average.
