After four weeks in India and stays in several cities, hostels, hotels, and guesthouses, this was the most beautiful place we stayed. The huge apartments were clean and modern, everything worked properly, and the staff and manager were kind. The nearby beach was lovely and clean, with places to eat and shop just a few steps away. If you want to get away from people, the place itself feels like heaven on earth.

The room had no water when my friend came back that night, just an empty can. After spending an hour looking for the OYO in the dark, he was tired and couldn’t reach anyone to ask for drinking water or the other things promised. The curtains were filthy, with condoms literally stuck to them. It made us think the curtains and sheets hadn’t been changed in ages. He hadn’t noticed at check-in, and there was nobody around to report it at night or when he checked out the next morning. OYO 12036 should check hygiene and basic necessities before guests arrive. I’m local, my friend was a tourist, and since it was off season and we booked well in advance, there was plenty of time to check everything. Finding the room was difficult too. My friend checked in after 3 pm, and we could see the way thanks to Google Maps, but there wasn’t a single sign pointing to it. Anyone unfamiliar with the local language could struggle to find oyo room 12036. There was no one at reception from his check-in until he left the next day. We had to call the room boy sitting at the gate for check-in, check-out, and any help. I wouldn’t call the experience terrible, but it wasn’t good either.

We paid 2700/- for three days. When we called the owner the day before to confirm, she said the price was very cheap and we’d have to pay extra on arrival. After we questioned it, she said no extra payment was needed. The room looked as if it hadn’t been cleaned since the Harappan civilization, really dirty like a cheap hotel. At least it had an induction, refrigerator, and microwave, so we could store our things. Not recommended at all.

We felt cheated. OYO showed the room at Rs 490 after we booked through the app with a coupon, but on arrival the staff said they no longer accepted OYO bookings and wanted another 600 RS. I also had to practically beg for a blanket and the AC remote. The room wasn’t clean and the service was poor. It was really disheartening.
