Bon Vivant Apartment by OYO Rooms

A nice place to stay if you want to buy fish at the local market and cook it yourself.

Once we found the building, we felt relieved, since the route to the room was confusing. The outside looked old and a little dusty, but inside the room was clean and neat. It’s a 1BK rather than a 1BHK, but worked comfortably for three of us, with a good-sized cot and roomy bathroom. There’s a small balcony, though mosquitoes are a problem there and can get in if you leave the door open. The room is thoughtfully set up, with plenty of charging points, and they send the Wi-Fi password. The connection was fast. There’s a cooker and a few glasses in the kitchen, so you can make meals if you bring provisions. We also had dedicated parking. The owner was friendly, but after we booked through Airbnb they repeatedly called to ask if we had checked out, even after I said I was driving. The constant follow-up got irritating.

Oscar & Carmen were responsive, flexible about check-in and check-out, and ready to help whenever we needed them. They also happily shared what they knew about the area and equipment. The apartment was quiet, conveniently located, and looked just like the pictures. Communication was easy and quick. I stayed there for about seven days, and the place was tidy, lovely, and had what we needed for a longer stay. There’s a good bed, nice bathroom, AC, fridge, microwave, stove, and Jaccuzi. We had a great time and would absolutely recommend staying there.

The rate is very reasonable, and the hosts are kind and understanding, always ready to help. It’s a brilliant, well-equipped apartment, close to colva beach and only a few minutes from the city, which is handy.
