Roundcube Patnem

The restaurant was the bright spot for us: the food was tasty and the service there was good. I’d recommend eating there, but not staying overnight. We paid Rs 4500 a night and found the room and service disappointing. The AC barely cooled, even at 16 degrees Celsius, and power kept fluctuating. There was no TV or mirror, and hot water wasn't reliable. The taps often ran dry, so we had to ask for the tanks to be refilled. The room came with just a bed, two 500ml bottles of water, small soap bars, and towels. On our last day the power went out for more than three hours. We checked out without a fix or even an apology. Given the price, the basic facilities and service fell short, especially for peak season. Not recommended for a stay.

The location is superb, but our experience with the waiters was disappointing. There were two of them, and they seemed to focus on tables with foreign tourists. I saw them being rude to several guests, and found them haughty and inhospitable. I've travelled to many places and haven't come across servers like that. We've been here since 22 December and check out tomorrow, 26 December 2025.

We spent the day at Patnem beach and had a great meal here. The chicken vindaloo was the best I've had in Goa so far, with a generous portion of good quality chicken and rice. The staff were friendly and helpful, and there were sunbeds and umbrellas available. The food and drinks were excellent. I'd definitely recommend the place.

I came here for dinner. It's right where the beach road ends, the first shack, and a fantastic spot. The chicken tikka, butter chicken, and naan were all really tasty. The music suited the beach's simple charm.
