Hotel Landmark

I stayed here for 15 months when the office I worked for booked four rooms, during 2015-16. The hotel was in a good location and felt very safe. The staff did their best, and the boys were good under their Manager Saab's direction. Mr Umer was educated, God fearing, and knowledgeable. The owner's family was decent and caring too. It was a very turbulent period, but nothing untoward happened. I think the neighbors looked out for us as well. I remember the police department officials who booked the hotel at the end of our stay, and how they supported us on several occasions. The hotel lacked amenities then, especially in winter, and we had to make do. Joshi ji, the Nepali cook, made good food, though I did miss typical Kashmiri dishes. Our team got upset about the indiscriminate use of water to clean the courtyard and cars, but we couldn't change that behavior. I still miss the rose garden. Staying there was a great experience.

The rooms were tidy as expected, and you can find shops and bakeries right outside, plus banking facilities available 24/7. It's in a posh area of Kashmir between Humhama and Hyderpora, about a ten-minute drive from Srinagar Airport. You can meet basic needs nearby without traveling far. It's a secure place for walks in the morning or evening, and well connected to tourist spots across Kashmir. Doodpatri, Shalimar, Nishat Garden, Dal Lake, and Gulmarg are all accessible, around a 20 to 45 minute drive from the hotel.

The rooms were very nice, clean, and well maintained, and there's plenty of parking. The location on airport road is very nice, with a beautiful view. Hospitality and service were outstanding.
