The owner’s warmth and attention to detail really shaped our stay at the New Manila houseboat in Srinagar. He was always available, shared useful travel tips, and knew a lot about local culture, history, and attractions. His professionalism and easy manner helped every guest feel at home. The boat was comfortable, clean, and beautifully maintained, with spacious rooms and traditional Kashmiri décor. The views of the lake and surrounding mountains were breathtaking, and the whole stay felt memorable.

The water’s appearance was disappointing, though I’m not sure if it always looks that way. Still, I had a memorable day at PARIs on Dal lake, including time to myself while the sky stayed bright until 8 pm. It was my first time staying in a boat house, and the house was fairly well maintained. The staff were courteous and looked after me. They took me to the floating market, which is famous and has its own scenic beauty. I also wore traditional dress and took pictures. Bring cash, since there are many shops selling clothes, Kashmir Saffron’s, and jewellery.
