Hotel Zahgeer Continental, Srinagar

The rooms were cozy, the linen was clean, and the washroom was in excellent condition. Heating worked well through the AC, and there was an electric blanket too. I stayed at Hotel Alhamra on 16th February and really enjoyed the Kashmiri feel and the warmth and hospitality from every staff member.

The food was tasty, with plenty of options and different things on the menu. Room service was exceptional, and the staff were always welcoming, active, and ready to help, especially umar bhai😊. Alhamra is where I'd come for a peaceful, homely stay in Kashmir. The rooms and bathrooms are clean and spacious, and the surroundings are pleasant.

The food was really good quality and clean, though a bit expensive. I loved the wood pendling in the clean rooms, and the friendliest part of the stay was the staff. They were so nice to us.

What stays with me most is the people. The staff looked after my family with so much warmth, and I even got to play cricket with them. Their drivers were just wow, and the rooms were beautiful and cozy. I've stayed in lots of hotels and traveled to many places, but the little things here touched me. My eyes were actually wet when I left. Some places and people really do stay in your heart. When I come back to Kashmir, I'll return to meet these lovely people. Kashmir should be kept separate from all the nonsense, so people can come and see that so many people here are really lovely. I'd highly recommend this place for a family trip.
