The staff were friendly and helpful, and our room was good. Dal lake is about a 10-minute walk away. We stayed two nights at Jamal resorts in Srinagar; it was budget friendly and a good stay. I’d only suggest a better breakfast spread.

I wouldn’t recommend staying here. The rooms had no view, and the place felt remote. In winter they were very cold, the heating wasn’t adequate, and the power plugs didn’t work. Not a good experience at Jamaal resort.

The breakfast buffet had plenty of choices and was good. The outdoor area is quiet and peaceful, though the room views aren’t much to look at. Nishant garden is roughly 1 km away on foot. The rooms felt smaller than I expected for a place labelled 4 star.

I spent a week there during my November 24 Diwali vacation and found it a great place to unwind with family. The setting nearby has a lovely backdrop, the staff are courteous, and the food was perfect. Hospitality and service were excellent.

The building looks impressive, and the outdoor areas are attractive, but the rooms and bathrooms were in poor condition for a 4-star resort. Without bed heaters, the rooms were uncomfortable in cold weather. The interior didn’t live up to the upscale exterior. I can’t recommend it unless room upkeep and amenities improve substantially.
