OYO 4484 Hotel EL Classics

The balcony and window views are lovely and feel removed from the city's bustle. Rooms on the upper floors have an even better outlook. It's a genuinely good budget option, with basics like a geyser, Wi-Fi, TV, and telephone, and the owner is friendly, helpful, and genuine.

A quiet spot with hardly any disturbance, and the view from the windows is breathtaking. The staff and food were nice too. Stay a night or two if you need a break from the constant rush of city life.

We meant to stay for one night during our Leh trip from Goa, but ended up spending three nights here. A few people in the family got sick while adjusting to the climate after Patnitop, and the staff looked after us like family. Manager Mr Ifrah was outstanding, as was Mr Gulab and the rest of the staff. They even cooked home food for us. The stay was affordable and very comfortable, and it felt like home. The road to the hotel is narrow for about 2kms, which was the one drawback. The locals were friendly, and apple, plum, and pear farms are 2kms uphill from the hotel.

The person who welcomed us was good, and the manager was fine, but service wasn't timely because he was handling the kitchen, reception, and room service on his own. Everything seemed to be managed by one man and his family. The hotel is far from Srinagar town, in a remote location. There's no intercom, Wi-Fi, lift, or dedicated housekeeping and room service staff. Oyo has had substandard properties lately, in my experience. A blanket heater and geyser were provided. There was also a fan heater, but electricity issues made it useless. At today's rate, this would be good for 800 or 900 rs. I was charged double, which is why I rated my stay 2.
