Muskan Hotels has two properties side by side, Muskan Palace and Young Muskan. The rooms are roomy and comfortable, and Dal Lake is very close, just a one-minute walk to get on a Shikara. Food is tasty and there's plenty of it, with buffets offering both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes. Heating is available in the rooms, while hot water is only available in the morning.

The staff behave well. The rooms are just okay.

There's a small garden inside and a mountain view from the front. The staff are friendly and soft-spoken, and bed heaters are available. Rooms for three or four people are offered, with enough space for a group of 50 to stay. The dining hall by reception has plenty of room, and there's spacious parking. It's also close to dal Lake and shikara rides. My stay was comfortable.

A good budget stay, with Dal Lake nearby for an evening shikara ride. They serve vegetarian food.

Don't stay here with your family. I felt everyone was in on it, including the manager and room boy. They charged us for drinking water and for the room heater too. Since we were staying as a family, we had to pay for all these things.
