The food tasted homemade and was really good, and the rooms felt welcoming with their ornate look. The people here are warm, friendly, and inviting. It felt like a home away from home. A top-notch stay, and I’d definitely recommend it.

Spending a night on the water in a houseboat on Dal Lake made for a really memorable stay. You can see other houseboats around you, along with sellers paddling up to each boat with their goods. There’s a floating market too. I hate stayed for one night, and enjoyed it. If you’re visiting Srinagar, staying on a houseboat is a must.

The houseboat itself was good, but the food was bad everywhere we ate in srinagar. Food was the worst part of our experience there.

My advice is to take a sikara ride, but skip staying on a houseboat. The food was the worst, and they don’t cook it themselves. They get it from a hotel and bring it over. We’d paid for a good houseboat, so be careful to confirm the exact name with the HB group. They have several boats, and the one you’re given can be changed at the last minute. Choosing this was the worst.
