Wood Venture Residency By Stay Pattern

On my second visit to Srinagar, I stayed at Wood venture for just eight hours, and the service was top notch again. Shameem bhai was an excellent manager, and the staff treated me like family. They provided a room warming heater and an extra blanket for my afternoon nap in winter. The room was neat and clean, the price was minimal, and security remained a priority, with no compromise. The service didn’t disappoint, and I’ll keep this as my go-to place. The tasty buffet and kind staff are commendable. On my first visit, my younger sister and I stayed for three days. The stay, service, facilities, and maturity of the staff made it feel more like home than a hotel. Receptionist SHAMEEM Bhai and the service provider were kind, friendly, and generous. I had booked a standard room, but it was spacious enough for two, with amenities from shampoo and lotion to toothbrush, toothpaste, tea, coffee, and everything else provided at the desk. The vegetarian food was hygienic, fresh, tasty, and delicious, which felt reassuring for travellers coming from outside India who may be concerned about vegan food. The place was budget friendly, hygienic, and peaceful, and I’d recommend it to travellers from outside or within the state. At first, they asked some security questions because of their privacy policy, which I understood. Please cooperate for 5-10 minutes when you visit.

From check-in onward, Mr Shameem (Front Desk Manager) and the F and B staff, Faizan Ahmed and Imran Ahmed, were warm, professional, and very efficient. They went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable.

The only disappointment was the hot water in the mornings. We had trouble getting enough and ended up taking a cold shower. Even so, Wood Venture was a fantastic stay. The staff were friendly and helpful, the food was consistently excellent with plenty of tasty options, and the oil heaters kept us cozy on colder evenings. I’d highly recommend it.

The manager and caretaker were genuinely attentive and polite, and seemed to care about guests’ comfort. It’s in a convenient spot on the main road, easy to find, and within walking distance of Lal Chowk. I stayed for two nights and found the room spotless, comfortable, and well maintained. The washroom was just as clean and had all the toiletries I needed. There was also a tea/coffee maker and complimentary water bottles. A comfortable stay and good value for money. I’d happily visit again and recommend it to anyone coming to Srinagar.
