Hotel Vijay Deluxe

The quiet setting and helpful staff made getting around easy. There’s a busy market within 250 meters, autos and e-rickshaws run day and night, and there’s plenty of parking on the hotel grounds. The building looks decent from outside, but the rooms feel cramped, especially for three people, and squeezing in an extra mattress meant shifting furniture. I stayed at hotel Vijay Deluxe, Sultanpur in the last week of November. A client had made the booking, and I’d already adjusted my expectations for a Tier-3 city. Still, this was a mixed stay. The room was listed as the hotel’s best category at around ₹3000 per night, but the value didn’t feel there. Things I’d expect from an average 3-star place, like a kettle, decent TV, soft mattress, proper wifi, or hairdryer, were missing or disappointing. The wallpaper and décor looked dated and cheap, without the premium feel that price suggests. It may be the best option in Sultanpur, but by wider standards it’s below average for the cost. Fine if choices are limited and expectations are adjusted, though it doesn’t offer Tier-1 comfort or value. A somewhat odd experience.
