The food has been bad more than once, so I’m finally writing this. It’s tasteless, and even the tandoori breads that look tempting can leave you dealing with gas the next day. If you eat here, don’t overdo it, and maybe clear your schedule for tomorrow. I’d avoid booking this for a wedding if you don’t want guests talking about how poor the food was. Better to arrange your own catering.

The building looks nice and sits on the main road, with parking available, though it’s cramped. Rooms are on the ground and first floors, and there’s no lift. The rooms themselves are decent in size, but cleanliness and service were awful. Bedsheets had dirt and holes; rooms smelled as if they hadn’t been opened for days; bathrooms were dirty and the commode placement was highly unacceptable. Only one poor-quality towel was provided, with no face towel, and the toiletries were poor, with no shaving kit. At 2 pm our room still hadn’t been cleaned, and staff said they were all having lunch together for hours. The multipurpose and marriage hall is underground, reached by steep, difficult stairs, with no lift and no washroom. At least a washroom should be available for a hall of that size, especially since the steps are hard for older people. Food wasn’t at hotel-industry level and seemed to be prepared by a local cook. Plates and bowls were plastic melamine. People in Sultanpur have few choices, which may be why this property keeps running despite the large hall having no washroom.

We were here during a layover and had a great stay. The food was tasty, and the staff were courteous with very good hospitality.

I’ve been to a lot of functions here recently, and the food and service have disappointed me each time. The preparations are tasteless, so guests are likely to leave unhappy. Once dinner starts, they don’t replenish the snacks and starters. Even the rotis are cut into four pieces, which I haven’t seen elsewhere. It comes across as cost cutting. The banquet hall AC also doesn’t work properly. Outside catering isn’t allowed, and they charge around 700 to 900 rs per plate without any guarantee that you’ll be satisfied. The rest is fine, but hotel management needs to address these problems if you’re considering booking an event.

We liked the services for my brother’s engagement, so we booked the hotel again for the reception. It’s the best events venue in sultanpur.
