Cheeral Green Homestay

We loved the peaceful setting and the lush green farm, and the walk around it was lovely. Soman Sir and Ma'am welcomed us warmly, and the food and homely atmosphere made the stay even nicer. It’s a wonderful place for family or friends, surrounded by nature. We hope to come back, and would say don’t miss it if you’re visiting Wayanad.

We had a clean, welcoming ensuite room with its own entrance in a charming brick bungalow. The house sits on a lush, green, heavily vegetated plot. The owners are interesting, well-travelled people who returned to their roots and clearly enjoy hosting guests. Breakfast was delicious local food made with ingredients from their genuinely organic farm. I also learned a little about zero-cost and organic farming. I understand the host can arrange guided tours if contracted, and he would be a wealth of information.

I’ve been to Cheeral green three times now, and it feels like home away from home. It’s quiet and works really well for a workation. The property covers a huge area with lovely birds and plants, and it looks just like the pictures. Soman uncle and aunty are great hosts, and aunty cooks wonderfully. It takes about 30 minutes to get here from sulthan bhatery.

A peaceful spot, and the homestay was neat and clean. The host was helpful and made us a delicious breakfast.
