Super Collection O Adajan Formerly Hotel Western Inn

For the price, I got more than I expected. The location is handy, with major attractions within walking distance, and the staff were friendly and shared good local food tips. My room was small, but spotless, with a comfortable bed and a great shower. A solid budget choice if you still want quality.

A mouse was roaming around the room, and the alternative they offered was in much the same state. We checked out straight away and took the loss at another property, since arguing over a refund didn't seem worthwhile. The place had a shady feel and wasn't suitable for a family. Before that, we found torn condom packets on the floor, unclean washrooms that stank, and sheets that hadn't been changed after the previous guests. I was told there was no housekeeping staff, so the receptionist changed them. The rooms were small, with no ventilation, even in the washrooms, and the hotel had a suffocating cigarette smell.

I couldn't check in at 3AM. I called several times, but nobody picked up. Really disappointing.

I left and slept in the car. I don't know what the rooms are like or how clean they are, but the way staff treat customers matters most to me. At 6am, when I checked in, the receptionist warned that even checking out at 11:01am would mean paying the full next day's rent. My wife said that wasn't fair, and he told her to speak less because she'd woken him early in the morning. Customer care at fab hotels was no help either. In ten years of travel I'd never had such a bad hotel experience, and I'm never choosing fab hotels again.
