The private access to Radhanagar Beach was the highlight for me. It’s about 500m from the public entrance, and the stretch by the property was much quieter. The grounds are lovely too, with plenty of trees, greenery, and birds, and the reception area has a cozy bar that’s nice to spend time in. We booked the largest cottage. The room itself was a decent size, though the bathroom and deck were much bigger than we needed since we spent most of our time at the beach. We also tried the private beach dinner for a special occasion. The setup was nice, but the food was average, and it was surprising they didn’t serve lobster despite our preference. At 18k, it didn’t feel worth the price. Staff hospitality was uneven. The reception team and bartenders were warm and welcoming, while some of the other staff could use more training.

The forest setting and the position beside Radhanagar Beach are the reason to come here. It feels secluded, and the natural surroundings are wonderful. We’d consider visiting again for the beach and scenery, though the lack of nearby alternatives makes it harder to overlook the shortcomings. The rooms and bathrooms need an update. They’re dated, dimly lit, and missing basic things like dental kits, slippers, vanity kits, and proper bathroom hooks. The lighting gave the rooms an eerie feel rather than a romantic one, and the furniture and interiors need refurbishment. Breakfast was repetitive during our stay, with limited à la carte choices and little change from day to day. Restaurant staff also seemed unsure of the menu and struggled with basic questions. The reception staff, by comparison, were welcoming. With so many staff on site, better restaurant training and service would help a lot.

The Andaman villa was just what we hoped for, and the staff were lovely from the welcome through the whole stay. We also had a mud wrap at the spa, which was a great experience. Barefoot’s setting is stunning. Radhanagar Beach is among the top three beaches I’ve visited anywhere, and I’ve seen quite a few. The resort feels beautifully separated from the beach by big trees. The food was incredible, and the restaurant team always made sure we were looked after. The barman took real pride in making cocktails, too. Both the bar and restaurant were excellent value. I can’t recommend Barefoot highly enough.

The chefs deserve a special mention, the food was outstanding. The whole team was amazing, and the atmosphere was so quiet and relaxing. Barefoot Resort is a lovely mix of forest and beach. From the property on Radhanagar Beach, you can catch one of the most beautiful sunsets. I absolutely loved staying here.

We didn’t stay overnight, so I can’t speak to the rooms. We came for the Radha Nagar sunset, and it was absolutely worth it. They provide tea and mats for watching, and the beach view is breathtaking. The atmosphere is wonderfully relaxed. There’s a 500/- per person cover charge that can be used at the bar, but the drink menu is quite limited. The food could have been better.
