Wild Orchid Resort - Havelock Island

Mr. Deepak helped us throughout the trip, arranging both scuba diving and Kayaking. We absolutely loved the scuba experience, a must-try once in a lifetime activity. The rooms at Wild Orchid Resort were spacious enough, the ambience was lovely, and the service was good. Food at their Narra Restaurant was mouth-watering. We had a wonderful time in Havelock.

Deepak, who I think was the property manager, was a big reason we chose this place. He had excellent connections and set us up for adventure sports, including scuba and sea bed walking, even arranging scuba in Neil island. He helped us get the best scuba experience. The food was very, very good, and the reception and restaurant staff were welcoming and helpful. The place is good value. The washrooms were clean but a little rundown, and the beds looked beautiful and rustic, just like the Google pics. The property itself is small and next to the road. A nearby storm water drain made it smell slightly, though it didn’t affect our stay. It was close to all the important places we wanted to visit, and a beautiful beach was less than a five-minute walk away. Despite that small issue, it’s still one of the best stays in the area.

The cottages at Wild Orchid Resort were comfortable, clean, and spacious. The property is well cared for and surrounded by lush greenery, which gave it a peaceful island feel. Staff were warm, courteous, and always ready to help, and the location made nearby beaches easy to explore. A pleasant, memorable stay. I’d recommend it to families or couples looking for a calm and comfortable place in Havelock.

We arrived in Swaraj Dweep without a plan, but Mr. Deepak, who manages the property, sorted everything out for us. He arranged the highlight of our trip, scuba diving through Experience Scuba, and also connected us with scuba instructors in Shaheed Dweep. We tried sea bed walking and a submersible scooter at Elephanta beach; I’d say those can be skipped if you want a true marine life experience, which only scuba or snorkelling can provide. Kayaking was beautiful, and we got to see the bioluminescence. Deepak was a one stop solution for us. The restaurant food was amazing and the service fantastic. Our room was very spacious, neat, and felt quite luxurious. The property is centrally located, less than five minutes from the beach, so it feels almost like a beach front stay. It’s also easy to get to the Jetty, Kayak and Elephanta branch, and Kalapathar Beach. Don’t miss Kalapathar, especially the secluded spots on the way to the main beach. Highly recommend staying here for a wholesome experience.
