Hotel Green Park

I chose Hotel Green Park in Talcher for a work trip because it’s centrally located, near the railway station and fairly easy to reach from the main road. It’s a practical stop if you’re passing through or working nearby. The rooms are moderately spacious, especially the Super Deluxe ones, with a comfortable bed, working AC, study table, wardrobe, and TV. Wi-Fi and complimentary breakfast are included. The in-house restaurant offers simple Indian meals that taste decent, though hygiene and speed can vary. One evening I waited almost 40 minutes for a basic thali, and the plate wasn't properly clean. Cleanliness in the room and bathroom also needs work: dusty corners, worn towels, and bathroom fittings that need upgrading. Room service was average, with polite staff but slow responses and frequent need to follow up. It’s affordable and does the job for a short business stay, but the cleanliness, service, and interiors may disappoint if you expect higher standards.

The service was really good, and the waiter behaved very well. I liked it.

The heavy traffic, coal dust, and limited car parking kept me from giving it five stars.

Near the bypass chhaka, this is another place in the Talcher area where you can spend time in a more luxurious way. Coming from the Talcher bus stand, you'll find it just past the bypass chhaka on the left side of the highway. You can get your favorite vegetarian or non-vegetarian food here, and Hatatota, Talcher market is close enough to walk to. A very nice place 👍👍
