Surya Garden

Sarvika was a highlight for me, with delicious food, and the rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable. The staff were always friendly, courteous, and happy to help. Thanks to GM Mr. Anil for his warm hospitality and leadership, Ms. Swati Basanti at the Front Office for her courteous service, and F&B Manager Mr. Siba for making sure the dining service was excellent. I had a memorable, relaxing stay at Surya Garden Luxury Stay and would gladly come back. I highly recommend it.

The hotel has a lovely atmosphere inside, and I found the rooms clean and fairly spacious. The food was excellent, and both the hospitality and service were good. The bathroom could use brighter lighting. Noise was the main drawback: sounds and voices from the next room came through clearly, so anyone sensitive to noise may want to avoid staying here. The road to the hotel also runs through a polluted area with lots of heavy vehicles, which cause traffic jams.

The breakfast today was a standout, fresh, well prepared, and delicious, and the rest of the food was extremely tasty too. Mr. Sibaprasad and his team, Kiran, Titili, and Anil, were warm and attentive, and coordinated everything very well. We were on our way to Puri when we decided to stay at Hotel Surya Garden, Talcher, and it turned out to be an excellent choice. We had a wonderful stay, and honestly, I hadn’t expected to find such a high quality hotel in the Talcher area.

The service is what makes Hotel Surya Garden memorable for me. The staff were courteous, well behaved, quick to help, and made the service feel personal. I stayed in an elegant, spacious Executive King room that was meticulously clean and comfortable. Sarvika Restaurant offered a theme based, multi cuisine meal, and our group enjoyed trying flavors from around the world. The food was superb, with fresh gourmet dishes that showed the chefs’ passion. Silenus Bar was a sophisticated place for a nightcap, with premium drinks and tasty snacks. There’s also a pleasant rooftop retreat and a modern gym. Inside, it feels calm and removed from the bustle outside. For business or family travel through Odisha’s ‘coal country’, it’s a luxurious, comfortable base in the heart of Talcher, with local history and nature to explore. Five stars from me.
