The restaurant food was good, though a bit costly, and the staff were cooperative. Free car parking is available in the shared compound, along with a paid car wash service. Larica, another hotel with a swimming pool, shares the same grounds. This was Tarapith’s first luxury hotel. Rooms have been added over time, and Tara now seems to rank from average to good. Satisfactory in all respects.
2/10
From outside, the place looks very nice, but inside the service is terrible. The rooms were very dirty, with broken beds and ceilings. There’s no maintenance. Don’t visit and waste your money.

It’s easy to find on the main road, about 600 metres from the main Temple. The staff were well behaved, and the in-house kitchen serves decent food.
2/10
This hotel was horrible and dirty. In the middle of the night, we found a bat in our room.
10/10
The balcony view is great, and it’s a peaceful place to stay. Rooms are good and relatively cheap compared with nearby hotels, and the service is great. Staff are very friendly. The restaurant has a varied menu, prepares food quickly, and the food is good quality for a low price. The hotel is around 500 metres from the temple and has its own parking, with room for about 15 cars. It’s a five-storey building. If you stay here, ask for a road-facing room.
