High Bank Peasants Cottage

I found it worth the money. The location is convenient and safe, the check-in was smooth, and the staff were cooperative. My room was neat and well maintained, and I had a wonderful experience at the property.

The room quality was very good, and the greenery around the nice location made our stay feel so pleasant.

We had a great stay and would definitely come back. The hotel feels very much like home, with a rustic yet classy style and tasteful details throughout. From the terrace there’s a wonderful view of the hills and holy Ganga. The staff and owner were extremely courteous. They don’t have a kitchen, which they told us in advance, but there are lots of places to eat just 10 to 50 m away. They can make fresh tea and coffee at the hotel, and there’s also a yoga room everyone can use. The hotel sits a little higher up, so older family members may need to climb a bit, though cars can reach it easily.

The cactus planted right in the centre is huge and definitely something to take a photo of. The location and surroundings are nice, but the rooms are old and average, and the owner seems least bothered and uninterested in hospitality. The restaurant doesn’t operate, and the driver who fills in for the owner is rude. There are better places to stay in Tapovan, so this can be avoided. There are only five rooms in total.
