The location was the best part for me. It's very close to laxman jhula and Bajrang setu, and pebel beach and tapovan ghat are also an easy short walk away. There's a shared area among the trees where you can read a novel or sip coffee in a lovely setting. Our room was clean and well maintained. We had trouble with the door lock, but a staff member helped sort it out. I had a perfect stay in Rishikesh and would recommend this place to anyone wanting to be near the Laxman Jhula and Tapovan area.

The place itself is a highlight, a little “jungle island” in Tapovan with lovely, well-kept plants and trees. Every corner seems thoughtfully designed, and the “fishbowl” is a lovely spot to read or relax. The small restaurant is a gem too, with delicious breakfast, lunch, and fresh juices. The pineapple and green apple juice is a must-try! On my first trip to India, travelling alone, I had no idea what to expect from Rishikesh. I felt safe, comfortable, and warmly welcomed right from the start. I tried both the “mini loft” room, which I affectionately called my little studio, and a shared dorm. Both were excellent. I was worried about the shared bathroom at first, but it was brand new and cleaned several times a day. Ilo, Sankalpa, and the whole team were incredibly kind and helpful whenever I had questions or wanted advice on places to visit. I’m so happy and grateful for the experience and for such a beautiful place to stay. Thank you, Indian Culture Hostel!

The rooms are spacious and super clean, with curtains and a private locker for every bed. The café food is amazing, and the atmosphere is quiet and cozy. The people staying there were wonderful, and I made unforgettable memories. Sankalp is one of the kindest owners I’ve ever met. I came to Indian Culture after a terrible experience at another hostel, and he took care of me so well. If I ever come back to Rishikesh, I’ll definitely return to Indian Culture. Thank you from the bottom of my heart ❤️

The dorms are clean and comfortable, and the common areas make it easy to connect with other travellers. The food is good, and the team are so kind and helpful. Such a nice hostel! My only wish is that it were up in upper Tapovan. The area near Ganga is very busy and far from the yoga, activities, and cafés I mostly went to in upper Tapovan.

The staff and other people were friendly, and the property was very well maintained. It felt like a perfect space for a solo female traveler, and I had a wonderful stay. If you want somewhere peaceful near the attractions, go for it. I wouldn't recommend it for a party hostel or large groups, since the atmosphere here is calm and quiet.
