Mumukshu Resort

I booked through Agoda and had a confirmed, paid reservation, but couldn't stay because of mismanagement on both sides and the hotel management refusing to check me in. It was inconvenient, although Agoda refunded me within two days. This kind of thing can cause major problems for an ordinary traveller. The resort itself also seems a bit outdated, and parking is quite limited.

We enjoyed the gardens and walking trails, which give you room to explore the natural surroundings, or just sit with a book and take in the views. The rooms are spacious, clean, and thoughtfully arranged, with lovely mountain and valley views. They have a comfortable feel, and the cozy restaurant serves tasty local and continental food. Staff were very friendly and attentive, ready to help or suggest local attractions. Mumukshu Resort feels like a refreshing break from city life in Pauri, with comfort, peace, and options for a quiet or more adventurous getaway. Highly recommended for a visit!

The staff were generous at breakfast, bringing us plenty of parathas and omelettes without complaining about how much we ate. For dinner we had to tell them in the morning, and the food choices are limited. Still, they made chicken gravy and chilli chicken when we asked. It's a beautiful place to stay among the hills, and the staff were very helpful.

The road down from the main highway is damaged, so you have to leave your vehicle on the highway. There was no AC, LED TV, Wi-Fi, or room refrigerator. On the plus side, cleanliness was good, staff were cooperative, and service was fast. Almost every room has a valley view, so that wasn't an issue.
