SPOT ON 79585 Hotel Tapovan Valley

It seemed like a yoga school temporarily turned into a hotel, and construction was going on everywhere. The room was clean, but it wasn't the one I had booked. There was no service, and we had to buy meals outside. Maybe that was because of the construction.

At 1500 a night, I loved it. The hospitality was awesome, the people lovely, and the meditation atmosphere felt serene with the mountain view. Driving a car all the way to the hotel is a bit dangerous, since it sits 500 m up a steep hill, literally a 45° angle drive. We called someone from the hotel to help.

The garden was well maintained, and the in-house yoga-meditation centre added to the peaceful feel. Hotel Tapovan Valley also had good in-house food and service, and the prices weren't too high. I enjoyed the stay and found the environment customer friendly.

Getting there was difficult, with a steep slope and narrow path. The staff and management were polite, but useless and senseless. Since I booked at lower prices, they gave me the worst rooms possible. One had a broken toilet seat, and the other had flush problems. When we complained, they told us to use what we had, as if there was nothing to complain about. OYO also showed no interest in looking into it.
