The spa and wellness services made the stay even more calming, and I enjoyed the sound healing session. The staff were courteous and ready to help, and there were plenty of tasty food options. The rooms were clean, spacious, and nicely designed. With the peaceful hills and lovely Ganga River view, the location made for a quiet, relaxing stay. I had a lovely time.

We came back to Taj Rishikesh after our first visit about five years ago, when the property was barely a year old and everything was new and sparkling. This time we stayed four nights with our two toddlers and parents. It’s one of the best Taj properties in the country, and we’ll definitely return. It works well for families and couples alike. The private Ganga river beach was the highlight, there’s nothing like having it to yourself. The food was excellent throughout, and the place felt premium without being cold or too formal. The rooms were comfortable and well maintained, though you can see some natural wear after five years. Nothing that spoiled the stay, but worth knowing if you expect the brand-new feel we had on our first visit. With young kids, the monkeys are something to keep in mind. You really need to keep the room doors and balcony closed all the time. It was a bit of a nuisance with two toddlers, but manageable. Akshay in the restaurant and at high tea deserves a special shoutout. His service was genuinely outstanding, warm and attentive, and made the experience so much better.

We only stayed one night, but I’ll definitely return for longer. There are lots of activities at the property, and the staff are ready to help whenever you need them. The smiling staff won us over at check-in with a wonderful welcome that briefly made us forget our worries. The reception view that leads into the rock flour restaurant is amazing. We enjoyed the live musicians, and the local ladies served pahadi chai and chaat. The Pahadi mutton and Himalayan salt lime soda are must-tries.

My wife and I wanted a break, and Taj Rishikesh gave us something that felt like a complete reset. The property is tucked into the mountains beside the Ganges, and the calm was there as soon as we arrived. Open, peaceful spaces sit in harmony with nature. Whether we were by the river, walking around the property, or enjoying the view from our room, it all felt intentional and restful. The people made it especially memorable. Anjali and Simran made check-in warm and smooth, and we had a lovely conversation with Mr. Mishra, the GM. The thoughtful, attentive hospitality seemed to come from the top and never felt overbearing. Chef Pramod made breakfast consistently excellent, and chatting with him added a personal touch to our mornings. Madhulika’s yoga session was grounding and calm, with a beautiful backdrop. By the river and at Rock Flour, Vishnu and Ayaan were friendly, attentive, and easy to talk to. At Rock Flour, Vikram, Akshay, and Karan made each meal feel special without forcing it. Shailesh surprised us with a dessert in our room that had my picture on it. It was such a thoughtful gesture, and those small unexpected details really set the place apart. Everyone we met seemed to care about making our stay memorable. The hospitality felt genuine, never transactional. A lovely place to slow down, reconnect, and feel cared for. We’ll definitely be back.
