The photos were misleading, and it felt like they quoted room prices based on availability and sizing up the client. We called and were told there was a bathtub, but arrived to find a third-rate bathroom with hair on the toilet seat. We had booked a deluxe room, then were asked to take an ordinary one. Staff seemed unsure which room was which or what rate had been quoted. They were polite, but kept trying to sell rafting, food, and water, and it came across like they only wanted our money. The location is far from River Ganga, and the walkway feels like a back alley. The patio furniture is rotting, and at night the place seems haunted. All in all, a pathetic experience. It feels like somewhere for people trying to hide from the world.

I was unsure about booking here instead of a well-known hotel, but I’m glad I chose this place. Mr. Ravi Verma was happy to help before I booked and stayed supportive during my visit, answering my itinerary questions and reassuring me that Rishikesh is safe for a solo traveller. The boys who handled my food were courteous and never intrusive. The rooms were spacious and clean, and the villa had an amazing view. Such a lovely spot to read, write, sip Masala chai, and take in the scenery. Thanks to the Ayali team for making my trip so memorable and pleasant.

Dinner was a real highlight of my getaway. The food was a delight, and the resort paid attention to the details, including its cooking. The staff were exceptionally polite and genuinely willing to meet every need, while the riverside setting made a picturesque backdrop and added to the atmosphere. I’m looking forward to coming back and enjoying that combination of thoughtful service, beautiful location, and great food again.

The team were the most accommodating staff we’ve come across in north India. They even offered to refill our water bottles using their own water filter system. The rooms and location were excellent, and the food was great. Breakfast was generous with plenty of variety, while dinners were tasty and inexpensive. Highly recommended.

Sandeep's place in Ganga Vatika felt like a home away from home, in what’s probably the best residential colony in Rishikesh. Abhishek & Zoran from the supportive staff made the stay even better, and I had some lovely conversations with them. Zoran, an Ayurveda, Yoga & Meditation expert, kindly gave me a detailed horoscope reading. There’s also an in-house cook who can prepare meals for a charge. Recommended!
