Zostel Rishikesh

Rahul, Shakti, and Manoj were warm and helpful throughout, and the shared spaces had an easygoing, welcoming feel that made it simple to meet people. The rooms and common areas were neat, cozy, and well looked after. Zostel Rishikesh (Tapovan) has a nice balance of fun and peace, and its convenient location puts cafes, Ganga ghats, and Lakshman Jhula within a short walk. I had a comfortable, enjoyable stay and would happily return.

I was put off by the service at the rooftop café, so I took my custom to the pricier Hummingbird nearby. Maybe it was because I was dining solo, but the staff didn’t seem very service-minded. Their app scan was meant to replace a physical menu, which was fine, except my cart stayed empty even after I tried placing the order four times. It might have been my phone settings. Someone offered to take my order manually, but wasn’t clear about my oats with hot milk or muesli with honey and curd order. The café itself seems better suited to in-house guests or outside groups, since non-guests are welcome and the prices are moderate, if they can get the app working. Getting there means climbing five flights to the 5th floor, which gave me a bit of cardio. On the way up, I liked the cleanliness, design, and funky wall graphics, and the place made a nice first impression.

Gaurav helped us rent scooties at 5 AM and was supportive throughout the stay. The dorms were clean, comfortable, and well maintained. From the moment we arrived, the vibe at Zostel, Tapovan felt positive and welcoming. I’d definitely recommend staying here when visiting Rishikesh.

This was my first Zostel stay, and I was impressed with the staff, food, vibe, and everything else. I liked it so much that I extended 4 times and stayed 5 days. There’s a great view and a lovely rooftop cafe where you can spend time or work.
