Indu and Pradeep made us feel welcome, and the place felt safe, homely, and relaxing. I loved seeing the different birds around the property, and Indu’s homemade breakfast was tasty, whether eaten in the dining area or by the beach. Blue Mermaid Homestay in Kannur has direct beach access and peaceful surroundings, with nights full of calm and waves. It suited a budget stay for families, couples, or solo travelers, and I left with lovely memories of a serene, nature-friendly visit.

We had dinner at Blue Mermaid after a communication mix-up with our own homestay on arrival left us without a place to eat. The owner was incredibly gracious and generous when she heard we'd just arrived and couldn't find food. The meal was excellent, but her kindness meant even more. The beach is only steps away, and the garden is gorgeous. I'd recommend it.

The host was so friendly and welcoming, always around when we needed anything. I came away feeling like this was home, with a rare mix of comfort, warmth, and quiet. From the magical beach view to slow mornings and peaceful evenings, every moment felt unreal. Waking up to waves and looking out over the endless sea gave me the calm I didn't know I needed. Already missing that little peaceful spot by the water.

I've stayed at bluemermaid twice now and will definitely come back. Indu, Pradeep, and their lovely staff made the experience amazing. The room and facilities were all good, with direct beach access, but the food stood out most. Every meal was homemade with fresh ingredients. If you want a calm place to rest and enjoy the beach, I highly recommend it. Thanks again, Indu and Pradeep.

The place is breathtaking, but Indu, Pradeep, and the whole staff are what make it so special. Their care, kindness, and constant smiles will stay with me. I'm leaving with a full heart, and it feels like home now.
