Kanan Beach Resort - Kerala

The beach is wonderfully calm, and you can reach fishing villages about 30 minutes away by bike. I’ve been coming back year after year for 13 years, and it’s still an amazing place. The facilities are easy to use and right by the beach. You can order food in the morning, and they make it fresh with local ingredients. The staff are lovely, with Prakash at the helm.

The staff’s thoughtful gestures and extra effort made this visit especially enjoyable. We even met the owner, and you can tell how proud he is of the resort and his team. The management and service staff are happy and efficient, so thanks again, Team Kanan, for a memorable stay. This was our second time at the resort, and we love the peaceful feeling here. The rooms are clean and roomy, with sea views, and the staff are kind and welcoming. It’s become our family holiday spot. Every time we visit, we wish we could stay longer. I’d strongly recommend it to families looking to relax and recharge.

Yoga and herbal medicine are among the resort’s specialties, alongside tasty food and polite staff. Kanan Resort sits by the Indian Ocean in Ozhinhavalappu, near Kanhangad in Kasaragod district. The peaceful scenery makes it a beautiful place.

The staff make guests feel at home with their friendly, humble service and big smiles. I’d happily return to this resort again and again, and recommend it to friends and family. The food is excellent, if a little expensive, but I thought it was worth the price. Each cottage has modern comforts like free Wi-Fi, and the furniture is made from natural wood, bamboo, or cane, which feels very eco-friendly. The resort is right beside the sea, and you can see the Arabian Sea waves through the coconut garden. The grounds are beautifully kept, and the staff are very warm and welcoming.
