Perch by the sea

We spent a day at Perch by the Sea in Kannur and had a lovely, peaceful stay. The private beach is right there, calm and not crowded, and the location is beautiful. The owner and staff were welcoming and helpful, and breakfast was satisfying. Getting to the property can be confusing because there are two routes. Take the road that leaves the property on your left as you drive, it’s much better. The other way is rough and best avoided. You can also contact the owner, who can guide you, or ask the staff. It’s a nice place to relax, and we’d recommend it for a quiet getaway.

We had the best time here. The people were so kind and lovely, and that private beach is spectacular. It’s the most beautiful place we’ve stayed in Kerala. Definitely come here for a relaxing, beautiful holiday in India.

The beach was serene and calming, a wonderful escape. Abhinand, our host, and Ramesh, the caretaker, were so hospitable and made us feel at home. At checkout they offered us tender coconut, such a refreshing, thoughtful touch. Our stay at Perch By the Sea was full of warmth and care, with moments we’ll remember. Highly recommended.

On 1st January 2026, we brought our 30+ family group to Perch by the Sea Cottage in Kannur, and it felt like a home beside the ocean. The privacy was what touched us most: it gave our family space to relax, spend time together, and make lovely memories. We woke to the sound of waves and a breathtaking sea view from our room. The warm hospitality made us feel cared for from the moment we arrived. It was a peaceful, refreshing stay we’ll always cherish, and I’d highly recommend it to families looking for comfort and serenity by the sea.
